Spring Market was a wonderful day at Woodmont Park. There were many vendors, food trucks, activities for children, a plant sale, a bake sale (including Bertha Palmer brownies), a tree give-away for city residents, and chalk artists.

Our Christmas Luncheon was held at the Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club.

This fall’s District VIII meeting was at the Tampa Garden Club.

Our first “Yard of the Month” for this year for the month of September is located at 6110 Whiteway Drive. To say these homeowners are ecstatic is an understatement.

Our May meeting, which is typically a luncheon, was lovely this year. It was held at the Temple Terrace Country Club; each table was decorated with an Italian flag and a grouping of small vases with fresh flowers.

We had fun at the library this week at  two different garden week events. On Wednesday, May 1, garden club members and Susan Defant, children’s librarian, read books to the art class children and their parent.

TTGC and the City of Temple Terrace joined together on Saturday, April 20th for Riverfest, a gathering in honor of Earth Day. Riverfest was held at Scout Park next to the Hillsborough River. Many city residents were very excited and appreciative of being able to take a free tree home to plant.
