Riverfest 2024

TTGC and the City of Temple Terrace joined together on Saturday, April 20th for Riverfest, a gathering in honor of Earth Day. Riverfest was held at Scout Park next to the Hillsborough River. Many city residents were very excited and appreciative of being able to take a free tree home to plant.

Joe Ferris, City Arborist, pre-ordered 140 trees in 15-gallon tubs for the tree give-away. The Garden Club provided new signs for the groups of trees arranged by different varieties. The varieties of trees included tabebuia (both yellow and pink), little gem magnolia, live oak, sycamore, and three of varieties of crape myrtle—red, pink, and white. Watering and planting guides provided by the Garden Club were also available.
